Job Description: As a Mobile App Security Intern at CloudScale Technology, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our mobile applications against security threats and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with our development teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks throughout the app development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret data protection regulations applicable to B2C mobile apps.
- Develop and maintain mobile app security policies and procedures.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to align mobile app security practices with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure mobile apps meet compliance standards.
- Implement and maintain security controls for data encryption and access management.
- Provide documentation and reporting to demonstrate compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during compliance audits.
- Ensure the secure use of mobile applications and the safety of users' data.
- Research and stay current with the latest security trends.
- Investigate and resolve mobile security issues.
- Develop strategies to improve security protocols.
- Troubleshoot mobile security issues.
- Manage and maintain security systems and databases.
- Experience/Knowledge of 3rd party or open source SDK integration and secure containerization is an added advantage
- Strong understanding of code obfuscation techniques and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Strong knowledge of mobile app security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of security assessment tools and methodologies.
Good knowledge in mobile app development languages and platforms (e.g., Java, Swift, Kotlin).
Familiarity with mobile app security frameworks and libraries.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Mobile Application Security Tester, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
